Just Me


Breaking into hives

And cold sweats

Having panic attacks

And hot flashes

Forgetting how to breathe

Forgetting how to sleep

I don’t want to eat

I don’t want to drink

Please God

Make them leave me alone

They don’t understand

They never really will

I’m not sad

Just crazy

I’m not mad

Just disappointed

I need some time

To rebuild these walls

I need some peace

To quiet my mind

Why don’t they get it

Why can’t they see?

It’s never been them

It’s always been me.
